The puppies are ten weeks old and have begun to move to their new homes. It is much too sad and quiet around here though I'm comforted to know that each puppy was able to find a wonderful home. On Saturday they played so hard and long that by the time Rob Vollmar was able to get them on the table for some stacked pictures, they were well past their bed time. None of them took a good stacked photo - through no fault of Rob's - but he did catch several of them expressing just how they felt about the enterprise. Check it out here
The puppies names were registered this week and you can see their official names on the same page. Finally, they had their BAER tests this week and of course they are all perfect.

The Magnificent Seven reach their nine week anniversary today. It's a miserable day, cold and wet. They are celebrating with a fresh cow hoof to chew in their expen but they would much rather be outside running like yesterday. (Click here) This has been an extraordinary week for us. Besides all the fun last weekend, I was lucky enough to be able to show them to two of the breeders of the wonderful dogs behind the puppies. We had a regular puppy party including a celebratory lunch. I am happy to report that both are very happy with them. So that is now four expert opinions. I have come to feel very good about the puppies as good conformation representatives of this wonderful breed as well as the cutest, sweetest and funniest puppies of all time. The puppies had so many visitors this weekend and had a blast plaiying with everyone from a three year old girl (Hi Opal) to their uncle Tucker to Rio, an incredibly fascinating Bernese Mountain Dog. It was not only the Seven Dwarfs seven week birthday. Jessica Boyer, the co-owner of their mom Big Mo, received the news that she had passed an exam that is required to complete her degree. I'm so proud of her! You go girl! |
