Lure Coursing
Corky's favorite sport is without a doubt lure coursing. We've had a lot of fun in this sport and along the way Corky earned the following titles:

Agility

Corky's third favorite sport after lure coursing and racing is agility. She has had a modicum of success and a boatload of fun. Corky's claim to fame in agility is that she sails so high over the jumps that judges frequently remark on it. Someone once got a picture of her up several feet over a jump. She looked like she must be hanging from a hook attached to the ceiling. It was so startling that I passed it by much to my regret now. So you will have to be satisfied with this picture instead |
Obedience, Rally and Tracking
Obedience is not exactly Corky's favorite sport but she has done alright with it. She has finished her CD and if I had the heart to retrain her gloriously exuberant recall for a down part way, she would likely do fine in open as well. As it is, her recall is so exciting that almost every judge has complimented it in the ring.

Rally is much more fun and Corky has completed her Rally Excellent title. She likes that she gets to jump and show off in other ways, too. It's all off leash which is sometimes a challenge and the baited figure eight exercise if definitly her biggest challenge. |

Tracking has been so much fun to learn. It is the one sport where the handler and dog are a team but the dog is the leader. Training them to track really involves training them not to follow whatever interesting smell they run across and just stick to the one you have set them to follow.
